We are finally at the printing process. The first type of printing is the output of the films. This happens by using a program call fastrip. It is a program that prints out each color in a design on a transparent film. This film will then be placed on a screen that coated with emulsion. The emulsion is light sensitive. Once we have the film positioned we place it under an exposure unit which is a fancy way of saying a light source. This light source burns the image into the screen. There is a screen burned for every color that will be printed in the design. For example, if you have a 4 color logo being
custom screenprinted on a shirt you will have 4 screens made for that logo.
Each screen will go thru a process of inspection to make sure the image is crisp and clean of any defects. At this point we are ready to go to the press.
As you can see there is alot of work that goes into
custom screen printing before the order ever has ink put on the shirt. This is what we consider the hard part. If the screens are done right the logo will typically come out looking just like the customer wants.

Custom screenprinting at
www.bendershirts.com doesn’t take as long as you might think. We typically can turn around new designs in 2 weeks and repeat designs in 1 week. What goes on in those 2 weeks you ask, I will show you. First we get all of your information and artwork ideas. Then our artist takes your custom logo or design and puts it into a program call adobe illustrator. Once the design is finished we send a proof for you to approve. Once the proof is okayed it goes to production. After a few days the product is customized and sent out via UPS Ground. Shipping depends on how far you are away from the sweet state of North Carolina. It is a pretty complex process, but
www.bendershirts.com is very organized and keeps everything as smooth as possible. That is why virtually all customers become repeat customers and long term friends.
