When it comes to
custom screenprinting on t-shirts it doesn't really matter which you use. With
50/50 t-shirts you get a couple of nice benefits. The main advantage of
50/50 tee shirts is that there is absolutely no shrinkage. Secondly, they do not wrinkle like the 100% cotton shirts. However, the
100% cotton t-shirts have their benefits as well. They are thicker and softer shirts, but don't be confused. Be sure to look at the weight of your tee shirt before ordering your
100% cotton shirts because they are available in two different weights. The first is lighter than the
50/50 which would be 5.5oz and the heavier 100% cotton is the 6.1oz. For example Hanes makes a
5280 100% cotton shirt that weighs 5.5oz and the
5180 Beefy T which is 6.1oz.
My main advice when it comes to choosing my custom t shirts is ... if you are using white tees go with the
100% cotton 6.1oz because they are thicker, but on the color shirts just decide which advantages suit you.

Well this is a very hard question to answer. When it comes to
custom printing on t-shirts, there are many different brands of
t-shirts. You have the popular brands; A
nvil, J
erzees, G
uildan, and Fruit of the Loom. At
http://www.bendershirts.com/ we recommend the
Anvil 979 100% cotton shirt because they are just as heavy as the
Beefy T, but seem to hold the print better. Holding the print better means that the
Beefy-T seems to give the ink a faded look after a few washings whle the Anvil holds a brighter color.
The
Beefy T has some benefits which make it a higher priced t-shirt. It is made from ringspun cotton which has a softer feel. If you ask us, we would rate the
Beefy as the softest, but not necessarily the best value.
